InstructionAl Design

Please enjoy a sample of my favorite interactive educational elements: HTML5 interactive learning elements, videos, slideshows, and graphic design not highlighted elsewhere in my portfolio.

The items on this page have been used in courses I’ve taught at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and UAF’s Community and Technical College, and within course developments I’ve produced for Subject Matter Experts where I work as an Instructional Designer for UAF’s Center for Teaching and Learning.

MOOC | Yup’ik Language and Culture

Hosted on the EdX platform for MOOCs, this course provides an introduction to Central Yup’ik language, spoken by the indigenous people of southwest Alaska. This course was developed with an SME in Yup’ik language, Dr. Angass’aq Sally Samson.

Institutional Training | Access Approving Authority Certificate

This training, hosted on Canvas Catalog, certifies UAF deans and department heads as access approving authorities who will then grant and revoke access to buildings and spaces under their purview. I developed this training as part of the campus-wide rekeying project for the Facilities Services department and UAF.
